Target Audience of Lesson: Kindergarten
Big Idea: The students will be given pieces of paper with an outline of an egg on it. They then must watch as the egg is candled and projected on the wall. The students will identify specific parts of the embryo. They will watch the movies posted on the websites provided to see certain parts of the embryo and how it gradually changes into a chick. Finally, they will summarize the growth process and describe what they see in the classroom in comparison to the websites.

Alex- this lesson plan is a really neat idea.
Hi Alex,
The websites and clips are cool! :) How did you find them ? Good resources !
The design of your lesson plan is good. I have some quesitons in mind and hope we could work on them together and make your lesson plan even better :D
- About the target audience : why you choose kindergarten ? why not older kids ?
- About the content stardards : is there any specific stardands closer to your topic than standard 4? Maybe in other grades.
(K.4.1 Give examples of plants and animals. & K.4.2 Observe plants and animals, describing how they are alike and how they are different in the way they look and in the things they do. )
